Statement of Faith

  1. We Believe that the Bible which is the true Word of God acts as the only rule of faith and is the final word of authority on any question of doctrine or personal conduct.  (I Peter 1:23; II Timothy 3:16-17; Romans 10:17)
  2. We Believe that there is only one true and living God that is eternally existing in three separate and distinct persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (I John 5:7-8; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)
  3. We Believe that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, begotten by the Holy Spirit and he possesses the natures of both deity and humanity.  (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31&35; John 1:1-14; John 8:58; Colossians 1:15-18)
  4. We Believe that Man which is a three-fold being constituted of body, soul and spirit is also a sinner by nature, choice and practice and that he will be eternally lost unless he is born again.  (I Thessalonians 5:23; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3; John 3:3)
  5. We Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ sent by God the Father as the one and only sacrifice, died for our sins by the shedding of his blood, allowing us to be saved from the condemnation of sin and making available salvation unto all that believe on Him. (John 3:16-17; Hebrews 10:12; I Corinthians 15:3; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9)
  6. We Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead by the glory of the Father and has ascended into heaven to become our advocate and high priest. (Romans 6:4; Romans 10:9; Acts 1:9; Hebrews 4:14; I John 2:1)
  7. We Believe - That the Holy Spirit by his sanctifying power, dwells in believers enabling them to live a life of holiness. (Romans 8:5-9; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14)
  8. We Believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is given without measure unto all believers who ask and endues one with power for service. (Acts 1:5&8; Luke 24:49; Acts 2:1-4)
  9. We Believe that there are two main resurrections of which the first are of the righteous before the thousand years who are saved to everlasting life.  The second are of the wicked after the thousand years and will be lost without Christ and sentenced to everlasting damnation. (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:4-6; Revelation 22:11-13)
  10. We Believe that the rapture is not one stage or one phase of the second coming of Christ but rather a distinct coming in itself by which all the living and dead in Christ will be "Caught Up" in air to meet the Lord and taken to heaven to remain until his second coming.  (I Thessalonians 4:13-17; I Corinthians 15:51-58; John 14:1-3)
  11. We Believe that the second coming of Christ is when he returns to the earth a second time to rule and reign and put all enemies under his feet       (I Corinthians 15:24-28; Matthew 24:29-31; Revelation 19:11-21; Revelation 21:1-10)
